VSN: Zero to Swing! Series Class

Thursdays in April 6, 13, 20, 27
Class time: 6:30- 7:30pm

Series class in the fundamentals of the Vintage Swing dances. This is our Pre-Swing class designed to help you pursue Vintage Swing as a fun hobby by learning fun social dance skills and basic dance steps.

This class is designed for absolute beginners.
We don't need partners.
We don't need previous experience.
We don't need special clothes.
Wear clothes that will allow you freedom of movement.
Wear shoes that will support you from slips.

Our Goal:
By the end of the month, we will:
...know various swing rhythms.
...know the correct Vintage Swing body posture.
...understand "pulse".
...understand partnering skills are tools of social dance.
...have practiced several moves to dance socially.

How class works:
we rotate and get to know our fellow dancers
we learn from experience
we practice one skill at a time
we laugh and enjoy each others company
we ask lots of questions
we learn in a low key environment

Indemity Agreement

On behalf of my heirs, I agree to forego, expressly waive and release any/all rights for damages that I or my heirs might have against Lindy Town, USA or its agents and HIllyard Baptist Church for any/all injuries and damages I might suffer by participating in the this event or in traveling to and from its locations. I have consulted a doctor regarding my health concerns and have been approved for participation.
Refund Policy

We are excited to have your participation, we plan a fantastic weekend to provide you the best experience we can provide. Your payment is relied upon. Because of this we have a no refunds policy.

If a registrant can’t attend, we will offer credit towards next year's event.

We are also happy to transfer ownership. The responsibility falls upon the ticket holder to transfer ownership which includes: soliciting a buyer, collect any monies or trade from the other party, and notifying event organizers of the transfer.
Image Policy

I understand that Lindy Town, USA intends to record and photograph the events for this weekend. I expressly grant Lindy Town, USA the unlimited right and authority to use my image in any such recordings and photos in any and all media by whatever ways or means with no obligation to me. Such recordings are the sole property of Lindy Town, USA.

I understand that I am not allowed to tape any of the classes or the instructors in class and that it is discouraged to video the instructors at the social dances in the evening.
Schedule Policy

I understand that disruptions to the schedule do occur and that the schedule of events may need to be changed in order to support the needs of the event and the patrons.

I understand that communication of such information will be shared via the Facebook event on Lindy Town, USA primarily, secondary channels could include Vintage Swing Night Facebook page, website, Meetup event, email, and telephone.
