Follow Focus Weekend

 

Here is a little history of our event as it has grown and evolved.  We look forward to providing you more festivals and expanding to fullfill the needs of our patrons.

Follow Focus Weekend

 

In 2012 we called this weekend Lady Be Good weekend pulling local dance instructors of different talents to expand follows body control, provide additional vocabulary, and encourage follows to embellish their following.  

 

2016, we are reviving this weekend with a new name, Follow Focus Weekend.  The idea is to bring instructors together to help create a similar experience for follows, and adding an extra level of information.  We are doubling down on the conversation aspect of a Lindy Hop partnership.

 

This year leads are required!!  We will look at following and partnership.  We shall support the roles of leads and follows by providing exercises in technique and explore partnership concepts.  We look forward to providing you information about Ballet, African dance, and other topics as how they relate to Lindy Hop.
